Spirit Fall at Embry-Riddle in Season Opener

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's basketball team tipped off a new season on Saturday afternoon with a 72-50 loss at Embry-Riddle.
 
OUAZ (0-1) got off to a slow start where they were outscored 25-12 in the first quarter and they weren't able to recover. Embry-Riddle (1-0) closed the quarter on an 18-6 run to jump start a 14-9 second quarter that had the Eagles leading 38-21 at halftime.
 
The Spirit will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to across the valley to play Benedictine Mesa at 7:30 p.m.
