Spirit Sweep Defenders to Conclude Molten Invitational

DES MOINES, Iowa – The 11th-ranked OUAZ men's volleyball team closed out its weekend at the Molten Invitational with a 3-0 sweep of Dordt on Saturday morning at the Johnson Wellness Center at Grand View University.
 
With the 29-27, 25-12, 25-18 victory the Spirit finish with a 2-2 trip to Iowa and are now 4-3 on the season.
 
OUAZ ended the match with 40 kills and hitting .392. After just .194 hitting in the first set, the Spirit closed out the sweep by hitting .643 and .483 in sets two and three respectively. Defensively, they posted 21 digs and nine blocks to limit Dordt (2-3) to 33 kills and .187 hitting.
 
Emery Outin led the Spirit with 11 kills – his third double-digit effort of the season – while three blocks and three digs. Jordan Moses added nine kills and Quaid King had seven.
 
Tatum Gray picked up a pair of service aces and eight digs. Andrew de'Leon had 34 assists.
