SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's tennis team lost for the third straight time on Saturday as Marymount California claimed a 7-2 win over the Spirit in a Golden State Athletic Conference dual and the Surprise Tennis Complex.
 
OUAZ (1-7, 1-4 GSAC) fell behind early as Marymount (2-5, 1-3) won all three doubles matches. The Mariners clinched the team victory with wins at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches.
 
The Spirit got points from Hana Papaco in the No. 2 match when she won her match 6-3, 6-1. Stevie Wenzel won the No. 6 match 10-4 in a tiebreaker.
 
OUAZ is home for three duals next week, starting on Tuesday at 10 a.m. against Detroit Mercy at the Surprise Tennis Complex.
