SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's tennis team returned home for Golden State Athletic Conference action on Friday afternoon and fell to No. 13 Westmont 9-0 at the Surprise Tennis Complex.
 
OUAZ (1-6, 1-3 GSAC) didn't have answers for the nationally ranked Warriors (6-3, 4-0) in doubles where the Spirit were swept in two matches and dropped the third 8-2.
 
The struggles continued in singles play. Julia Ortiz and Hana Papaco each dropped their matches – the No. 1 and No. 2 matches respectively – by scores of 6-1, 6-1. Michelle Fournier fell in No. 3 singles by scores of 3-6, 1-6.
 
The final three matches all went Westmont's way in 6-0, 6-0 sweeps.
 
OUAZ will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host Marymount California in a GSAC match at 1 p.m. at the Surprise Tennis Complex.
