PHOENIX – The OUAZ women's basketball team traveled across the valley to face No. 25 Arizona Christian on Saturday night and came home after suffering an 88-55 loss in Golden State Athletic Conference play.
 
OUAZ (9-12, 3-11 GSAC) tailed by 16 after three quarter before Arizona Christian (18-8, 11-3) outscored the Spirit 27-10 in the fourth to complete a season sweep.
 
The Spirit ended the game shooting 33.8 percent from the field while hitting on 4 of 18 from beyond the arc. They were outrebounded 54-29 and committed 24 turnovers that resulted in 25 points for the Firestorm.
 
Bailey Osmer led OUAZ with 16 points on 7 of 17 shooting. Jorie Mayfield added 12 points and six rebounds.
 
ACU shot 54.8 percent and scored 58 points in the paint. Makayla Enders led five players in double figures with 21.
 
The Spirit will be home for the final two times of the season next week. The first of those games comes on Thursday against Life Pacific at 5:30 p.m.
