SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ men's tennis team returns to action this weekend with two Golden State Athletic Conference home duels at the Surprise Tennis Center. On Friday, the Spirit play host to No. 23 Westmont at 1 p.m. They will then face Marymount California on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Admission to both days of competition is free to the public. The OUAZ women will also be competing each day.
The Spirit will take a 2-3 overall record into the weekend's competitions. They are 1-1 in GSAC action, including a 9-0 upset of then-No. 25 San Diego Christian.
Leonardo Couto and
Noel Maurin each have three wins in singles play to lead the Spirit. Couto has added four wins in doubles play to give him a total of seven wins on the season.
L.Couto and
Eduardo Couto have gone 4-1 in doubles matches and the pair have won four straight.
Peter Hariri and Maurin have teamed up to post a 3-1 record in doubles play.
Jordan Petrie and
Austin Todd are 3-2 as a doubles team.
