The OUAZ women's basketball team traveled to Riverside, Calif. for a pair of games this week. Only the matchup with La Sierra on Tuesday would count against the season record, and the Spirit were able to add another to the win column.
Natasa Radovic had a double-double, and
Taylor Davis added 17 points to go along with five rebounds as OUAZ defeated La Sierra 73-56. The win pushes the Spirit's record to 3-0, one win shy of tying the program's best start to a season.
Radovic scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for her first colligate double-double. She is also the first Spirit player this season to accomplish that feat. It is also her second consecutive game of 25+ points, as she had exactly 25 in the win over SAGU American Indian College on Nov. 4.
The Spirit as a team were dominant on the glass as well. They out-rebounded La Sierra 44-33, including grabbing 11 offensive boards. Radovic scooped four of those offensive rebounds.
The Spirit will complete its quick two-game trip to Riverside when they take on NCAA Division I opponent California Baptist. Tipoff for the exhibition is scheduled for 7pm Arizona time.
