The Spirit hit the road for its first time in GSAC play in 2019, and they brought the conference's best offense along with them. OUAZ flashed its strength for 90 minutes on Thursday afternoon.
Saipress Jones scored her conference-leading 11
th goal to go along with an assist on the eventual game winner, while 
Cassidi Calzaretta and Kalleigh Gibaldo scored in the second half to help OUAZ defeat Menlo in Atherton, Calif. The win pushes the Spirit's GSAC record to 4-0 and its overall record to 11-3.
OUAZ was unrelenting offensively on Thursday, as the team combined for 15 shot attempts (seven on target) and seven corner kicks. Calzaretta's goal in the 60' was her first career game-winning goal.
They locked it down defensively as well, as they allowed only two shots on target to the Oaks. Menlo managed only one shot on target per half.
The Spirit head up to Rocklin, Calif. on Saturday to take on William Jessup. Kickoff is scheduled for 11am.
