SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's volleyball team began a busy week with a 3-0 sweep of SAGU American Indian College on Tuesday night in their home opener at Willow Canyon High School.
 
OUAZ (3-2) faced little resistance from the crosstown foe in a 25-10, 25-10, 25-9 sweep.
 
The Spirit hit above .300 in all three sets and ended the night hitting .349 with 34 kills. They also dominated SAGU in the service game with 15 service aces. OUAZ held the visitors to negative-.236 hitting and just eight kills for the match.
 
Seleni Bartley led a balanced offensive attack with six kills and .364 hitting. She also posted 10 digs and three service aces in the win. 
Stevie Wenzel and 
Austin Edwards added five kills apiece while 
Raelynn Therio finished with four aces.
 
OUAZ will now get ready for Golden State Athletic Conference action as they host a pair of ranked teams at Willow Canyon this weekend. On Friday, No. 25 The Master's comes to Surprise for a 7 p.m. match. No. 7 Westmont visits on Saturday at 1 p.m.
