PHOENIX – The second day of action at the Firestorm Labor Day Invitational saw another split of two matches for the OUAZ women's volleyball team. The tournament was the first action of the season for OUAZ and the team ended the weekend with a 2-2 record.

Errors were the issue for the Spirit in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-17 loss to Embry-Riddle. OUAZ finished the match with 29 hitting errors against 31 kills. Jorie Mayfield continued her strong start to the season with a team-leading 11 kills while posting 10 digs for her first double-double of the season. Austin Edwards would add seven kills with Seleni Bartley finishing with six in the loss.
