SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The OUAZ women's soccer team ran its winning streak to six straight with a 9-0 win over the University of Saint Katherine on Monday afternoon in the team's final non-conference contest of the season.
 
OUAZ (9-2) dominated the contest and they took a season high 60 shots with 33 of them on goal. Saint Katherine (0-9) didn't take any shots as the Spirit completed a season sweep of the Firebirds.
 
Kalleigh Gibaldo recorded the first hat trick of the season by a Spirit player and the fourth in team history. She scored her three goals on four total shots in the second half. Taylor Constance recorded a pair of assists and scored a goal.
 
The 60 shots by the Spirit are the second most in team history behind a 62-shot performance last season. It ranks as the third most shots in the NAIA this season.
 
Sydnee Busby took 21 of those shots to set a new school record and rank as the most by a player in the NAIA this season. She had 12 of those attempts on goal with one goal scored to extend her streak of recording at least one point in every game this season.
 
Addison Riddle received the shutout victory in goal.
 
OUAZ will close the season with seven Golden State Athletic Conference games. The first comes on Saturday when they head across the valley to face Arizona Christian at 11 a.m.
