Box Score "BenU Mesa is a really good team, and we fought hard, but similarly to other games we needed to execute better on offense and get better stops on defense in the important moments of the game." To start the game, the Redhawks took control outscoring the Spirit eight points to 15 in the first quarter. But the Spirit came back in the second quarter to outscore the Redhawks 22 to 20 points, narrowing the score to 30-35 as both teams headed into the second half.
In the third quarter, the Redhawks made an aggressive move scoring most of their points early. The Spirit came back late in the third quarter, almost matching point for point, scoring 15 points to the Redhawk's 17. The fourth quarter continued similarly to the third. The Spirit kept pace with the Redhawks scoring 11 points to their 15, but unable to close the gap finishing the game 56-67.
Bailey Osmer (FR/Tucson, AZ) led her team with 19 points for the game followed by Alexis Smith (JR/Phoenix, AZ) who had 14 points in total.
