SPIRIT DEFEAT SAGU AIC 3-0

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Ottawa University Arizona Spirit women's volleyball team defeated the SAGU American Indian Warriors on Thursday evening by a final of 3-0. Final scores were 25-11, 25-13, and 25-9. With the win the spirit advance with a 7-9 record.

Assistant Coach Ver'Leea Hardaway's thoughts on the game, "I thought the girls played well, we were a little rocky in our serve receive at times, but we were able to reel it back in and refocus. Overall, I thought the game went well and we are hoping to use this as another winning streak as we head towards the game against Benedictine University at Mesa and our matches in California." She went on to comment, "It was a good match and I think the girls really enjoy playing at SAGU. The school and students bring a great atmosphere to the gym and they are the nicest people you will ever meet. Their team gets better every time we play them and I think the heart and hustle they have is something we can learn from them."

The Warriors of SAGU pushed back through the game making a big push at 22-6, scoring 5 points before the Spirit could finish the game 25-11.
