Liv Afusia

Olivia is an accomplished athlete with a passion for coaching and a strong desire to give back to the sport she loves. As a former member of the Grand Canyon University Women’s Club Volleyball team, Olivia has excelled as a leader and captain, earning several accolades throughout her collegiate experience.

Olivia's outstanding career as a setter at Sandra Day O'Connor High School prepared her for success on the court, where she helped lead her team to numerous victories. While at Grand Canyon, Olivia continued to excel as a player, winning three consecutive conference championships, the Division 1A National Championship in 2019, and being named MVP of the MWVC Conference in both 2018 and 2019.

Olivia has been coaching at OUAZ since 2023, where in one year she has transitioned from being the assistant to now going into her second season as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach. As a coach, Olivia has worked with a variety of teams and players outside of OUAZ. Since 2017 she has been a club coach with Victorium Volleyball Club, where she helped guide teams to success at the regional level. She currently coaches at the open level for Arizona Sky Volleyball Academy in Phoenix as well.

Additionally, Olivia has worked with various camps and clinics in Arizona and beyond over the last three years, further demonstrating her commitment to coaching and helping others improve their skills.

Olivia's husband, Wellington, is the Men's Volleyball Head Coach at OUAZ. Olivia and Wellington currently reside in Peoria with their two dogs, Stacy and Stanley, and are blessed to be able to help shape young adults at OUAZ on and off the court together.
