Strength and Conditioning Cody Hodgeson

Cody Hodgeson

Cody Hodgeson was named the head strength and conditioning coach at OUAZ in February of 2018. Hodgeson joined the Spirit family after previously serving at Northern Arizona University since 2009.
 
Hodgeson joined NAU from Big Sky Conference member Northern Colorado, where he served as the assistant director for 18 months. He was responsible for 217 athletes and seven different teams, including wrestling, baseball, women's basketball, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving and men's and women's tennis. He also assisted with all aspects of the football strength and conditioning program.
 
Prior to UNC, he served a two-year graduate assistantship at Central Connecticut State, where he developed and implemented a year-round resistance training and conditioning programs for men's and women's track and field, men's and women's golf and women's lacrosse.
 
Hodgeson earned a degree from NAU in exercise science with minors in biology and chemistry in 2006 and then received his Masters in Exercise Science from Central Connecticut State University.  He originally interned in the strength and conditioning department under Casey Bond and Josh Morzelewski. He also interned at Arizona during the 2003-04 school year after a two-year collegiate career as a wrestler at Pima College in Tucson, Ariz.
 
He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also trained in CPR for the Professional rescuer, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator by the American Red Cross.
 
Hodgeson and his wife Liz have three daughters, Zoie, Holly, and Reagan.
