Shea Smith begins her first season as an assistant coach for the OUAZ softball program in the fall of 2021. Smith, a decorated player in college, has experience coaching camps and volunteering with various club teams throughout Arizona.
Smith also spent two seasons playing and coaching at the professional level in Switzerland.
A four-year starter at Grand Canyon University, Smith totaled 260 hits with a .367 batting average in 211 games. She was a three-time All-WAC selection, including being named to the first team in 2019. Smith was also named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-West Region third team that season.
Originally from Waddell, Arizona, Smith attended Verrado High School.
