OUAZ Athletics

JB Eary enters his second season as the Director of Baseball Operations with the OUAZ baseball program. Eary graduated from Washburn University in Kansas in the spring of 2017. 

Eary spent his freshman and sophomore seasons, as a 2-year starter at second base for the University of Puget Sound. He then transferred to Washburn University for his junior and senior seasons.

In 2016: MIAA Academic Honor Roll member … appeared in 11 games, going 1-for-8 (.125) at the plate with one RBI and a run scored … recorded three putouts and had three assists in the field.
 
In 2015: Did not play … redshirted.
 
Background: Played two seasons at Washburn University and two seasons at University of Puget Sound  (Tacoma, Wash.) … as a freshman in 2012-13, started 38 games with 40 appearances at second base … finished his freshman year hitting .279 with a .969 fielding percentage … as a sophomore (2013-14) hit .216 in 27 games at second base with a .981 fielding percentage … Graduated in 2012 from Faith Lutheran High School (Las Vegas, Nev.) … As a freshman hit.460 on junior varsity …  hit .323 with one home run as a sophomore … voted Second Team All-Conference as a junior with a .465 batting average and nine doubles … final season saw him hit .318 with one home run while earning Second Team All-Conference honors … three-year varsity letterwinner … named a Scholar Athlete and graduated with honors.
