Surprise, Ariz. – OUAZ Women's Volleyball closed out the 2026 OUAZ Invitational in style Saturday afternoon, earning a straight-set victory over Northwest (Wash.) inside Faith Arena. The win completed a perfect 3-0 weekend for the Spirit and improved their season record to 4-3 overall.
After opening the tournament with sweeps of Westcliff and Cumberland on Friday, OUAZ carried its momentum into the final day and avenged an earlier-season loss to the Eagles.
The opening set featured several lead changes before the Spirit seized control midway through the frame. Kills from Marielle Ramos, McKenna Diederich, Hannah Allman, and Elisa Saunders fueled a key run that gave OUAZ the advantage. The Spirit continued to apply pressure behind the distribution of Norma Ramirez-Barba and closed the set with strong serving and defensive play.
OUAZ's front row continued to dictate the match throughout the afternoon. The combination of Gloria Moye, Diederich, and Delaney Wilson provided a strong presence at the net, while the Spirit defense turned several long rallies into points on the offensive end.
The victory marked OUAZ's third consecutive win and capped an undefeated weekend on its home floor. After beginning the season 1-3 following the Big Sky Challenge, the Spirit responded with three straight sweeps to move above .500 and build momentum heading into next week's matchup with a nationally ranked opponent.
