Complete Team Performance Fuels Spirit Victory

Surprise, Ariz. — The Spirit delivered a complete performance in a dominant win over Life Pacific, controlling the pace from start to finish and setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Strong team defense and balanced scoring allowed the Spirit to build momentum early and never look back.

  • 1st quarter: The Spirit came out aggressive to open the game. Payton Sheridan contributed four points and a rebound, while Brianna Humphries added three points, one rebound, an assist, and a block. Tiana Sledge made her presence felt inside with four points and two rebounds as the Spirit established an early advantage.

  • 2nd quarter: Momentum continued in the second quarter behind efficient scoring and active defense. Charli Cook led the way with six points, three rebounds, and a steal. Sledge remained consistent, adding six points and two rebounds as the Spirit extended their lead going into halftime.

  • 3rd quarter: The Spirit maintained control after the break with strong two-way play. Humphries had a big quarter, recording six points, three rebounds, and two blocks. Cook stayed hot offensively with six points and two rebounds as the Spirit continued to dominate.

  • 4th quarter: With the lead secure, the Spirit closed the game with composed execution. Humphries added four points and two rebounds, while Kristen Valdez chipped in three points and a rebound to help seal the victory.

Brianna Humphries etched her name into the record books with a historic defensive performance, setting a new program record with six blocks. Her presence in the paint changed the game, repeatedly shutting down scoring opportunities and anchoring the Spirit's defense throughout the night.
