Mesa, Ariz. — The OUAZ Spirit women's basketball team earned a strong win over the Park Gilbert Buccaneers, staying patient through a pair of tight quarters before taking control in the second half. With balanced scoring and steady rebounding, the Spirit created separation and maintained their lead down the stretch.

1st quarter (17-18): The opening quarter was closely contested as both teams traded baskets early. Brianna Humphries led the Spirit with 5 points and 2 rebounds, while Payton Sheridan added 4 points and a rebound to keep OUAZ even.

2nd quarter (31-36): The game remained tight in the second quarter, with neither side able to pull away. Humphries continued to lead the effort with 4 points and 3 rebounds as the Spirit stayed locked in heading into halftime.
