Surprise, Ariz. — The OUAZ Spirit men's basketball team turned a slow start into a commanding performance, overwhelming the Justice Lions with sustained momentum and balanced scoring. Once the Spirit found their rhythm, they never looked back, cruising to a dominant victory.

1st half (49-27): After a measured opening stretch, OUAZ caught fire and seized control of the game. Zeke Viuhkola delivered an outstanding first half, pouring in 22 points to spark the Spirit offense. Carter Gittens followed with 11 points and 4 rebounds, while Jack Galiardi made his presence felt defensively with 4 rebounds and a block.

2nd half (95-69): The momentum carried over into the second half as the Spirit continued to dictate play. Quinn Thorne led the way with 11 points and 3 assists, and Carter Gittens added 8 more points as OUAZ maintained control and closed out a convincing win.
The Spirit also made their mark from beyond the arc, tying the program record with 38 three-point attempts. OUAZ connected on 16 of those shots, a performance that now ranks tied for third all-time in program history, highlighting the team's confidence and efficiency from long range. The ball movement was just as impressive, as the Spirit recorded 27 assists, which now ranks second all-time in program history.
