SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's volleyball team put together a dominant performance on Thursday night, sweeping Hope International in straight sets to earn an important GSAC victory.

Set 1 (25-17): OUAZ set the tone early against Hope International, with Jessica Pearce leading the way with three kills and Lauren Wamsley adding three of her own. Hannah Allman chipped in two kills as the Spirit established momentum to take the opening set.

Set 2 (25-15): OUAZ opened strong against Hope International, with Lauren Wamsley pacing the attack with four kills and an ace. Hannah Allman added two kills to help the Spirit grab early momentum and secure the first set.

Set 3 (25-10): OUAZ dominated the final frame to complete the sweep, fueled by a balanced offensive and serving attack. Wamsley and Gloria Maye each tallied three kills, while the Spirit's serve pressure proved overwhelming—Bella Reach and Reegan Shoquist each landed an ace, and Amey Rainaud delivered two aces. The Spirit closed out the night in emphatic fashion with an 8–0 run, sealing a commanding 3–0 victory over Hope International.
Lauren Wamsley delivered one of the best performances of her OUAZ career, finishing the night with an impressive .588 hitting percentage — a mark that now ranks fifth all-time in the program record books. She was a force at the net with efficient, powerful swings, while also making her presence felt at the service line by stringing together multiple serves in a row to keep Hope International on its heels. Wamsley's dominance set the tone for the Spirit and played a key role in the team's commanding sweep.
