OUAZ Baseball Unveils 2026 Schedule

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Fresh off a strong 2025 campaign that included a trip to the GSAC Tournament, the OUAZ Spirit baseball team has officially released its 2026 schedule — a lineup filled with competitive non-conference series, high-profile home games, and crucial GSAC matchups. With momentum on their side, the Spirit enter the new season determined to make another run to the conference tournament.

OUAZ opens the season at home in the Surprise Stadium with a four-game series against Bethesda, beginning on January 22 for Opening Day, followed by a doubleheader on Jan. 23 and the finale on Jan. 24. The Spirit remain at home for another four-game set against Johnson University from Jan. 29–31, looking to establish early-season rhythm on their home turf.

February brings one of the team's most exciting stretches, featuring five straight home games against top-level competition. OUAZ hosts British Columbia twice — on Feb. 3 and Feb. 5 inside the Surprise Stadium in a featured matchup. The Spirit then take on Oregon Tech in a Feb. 6 doubleheader split in the Surprise Stadium field, before closing the weekend with a game on Feb. 7.

The team hits the road for the first time on Feb. 13–14 with a three-game series at Westcliff, marking their official road opener. The Spirit then return home and split a three-game set with Nelson across Feb. 19 (home), Feb. 20 (away), and Feb. 21 (home).

GSAC play begins with a key series at Park Gilbert on Feb. 26–28, where OUAZ will look to make an early conference statement. The Spirit follow with consecutive home GSAC weekends against Benedictine Mesa (Mar. 6–7), Hope International (Mar. 20–21), and Arizona Christian (Mar. 26–28) — a crucial midseason stretch that could shape their postseason trajectory.

Road action resumes in March with conference games at La Sierra on Mar. 12–13, while non-conference opponents Madonna (Mar. 9) and Justice (Apr. 1 & Apr. 7) visit for primetime matchups.

OUAZ then heads to Prescott for a significant GSAC road series against Embry-Riddle on Apr. 10–11 before closing the regular season at home. The Spirit will host The Master's on Apr. 16–18, a Senior Day weekend that will honor the program's graduating class.

With a balanced schedule featuring marquee home games, tough road tests, and critical GSAC series, the 2026 OUAZ baseball season offers the Spirit a prime opportunity to return to the GSAC Tournament and compete for a spot among the conference's best.
