SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Spirit earned a gritty 1-0 win over the Arizona Christian Redhawks, showcasing their determination and composure in a hard-fought GSAC matchup.
The opening half was a test of patience and toughness, as both teams battled for control in a physical, defensive showdown. The Spirit created several opportunities but couldn't quite find the finishing touch before the break, while the back line stayed disciplined to keep the Redhawks off the board.
Coming out of halftime, the Spirit continued to press, and their persistence was rewarded in the 59th minute when Maria Juarez capitalized to give her team the lead. The physicality ramped up in the second half, but the Spirit stayed composed under pressure, maintaining strong defensive organization to protect their advantage and close out a hard earned victory.
