Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Spirit Remain Unbeaten with Another 3-0 Victory

ASHLAND, ORE. – For its second consecutive game, the OUAZ men's soccer team took away a 3-0 victory at Raider Stadium. This time it was against Northwest, as the Spirit won the neutral site contest hosted by Southern Oregon to wrap up its road trip still unbeaten to start the season.

OUAZ had another player pitch in a two-goal performance, as Joey Vega tallied a pair to lead the way. Vega scored in the 10th minute, then added the final goal for the Spirit in the 82nd minute.

Ingram Kualoka assisted on Vega's second goal, but not before he scored one of his own. Kusaloka extended the Spirit lead to two in the 70th minute, helping the Spirit pull away in the game's final 20 minutes.

The two teams combined for 22 shots, but the Spirit only allowed the Eagles to get two of their 10 attempts on target. Jonathan Garcia stopped both shots on goal, and earned his third consecutive clean sheet to start his OUAZ career.

The Spirit will hit the field again in two weeks when they take on Justice College on Saturday, Sept. 14. Kickoff from Spirit Field is set for 9 a.m.
