SILVAS, ILL. – Taylor Wilczek made another large leap up the individual leaderboard at the NAIA National Championships, jumping into seventh place following and even round on Wednesday. Wilczek now has 18 holes to make up eight strokes and bring home the first individual National Championship in program history.
Wilczek had an amazing start to her day, posing a birdie on the par-5 tenth hole. She would have another birdie two holes later, needing just three shots to finish the par-4, 13th hole.
The freshman would get two more birdies the rest of the afternoon, including one more on the front nine. Wilczek finished her day just like she started, putting up a birdie on a par-5 hole.
Wilczek will continue her chase for an individual National Championship with the final round of golf tomorrow. The Arizona native will tee off at 8 a.m. CT/6 a.m. AZT
