OUAZ sweeps Flames after 5-0 victory

OUAZ's baseball team completed the weekend sweep of Bethesda University of California with a 5-0 shutout on Saturday.  The series was originally scheduled to be a four-game series, but with Thursday's rain it was cut down to three games.

On Saturday for the Spirit (10-1), Nicholas Lustig and Daniel Durazo were a combined six for ten in the top two spots of the lineup.  The duo combined for three runs batted in and two stolen bases.

OUAZ was in a running mood on Saturday as they successfully stole five stolen bases.

On the mound, Connor Wilson (2-0) picked up the win after throwing seven innings of two-hit shutout ball while striking out four batters.

The win extends the team's winning streak to four over Bethesda to take an 8-6 lead in the all-time series and eight overall.

A midweek game at SAGU-American Indian College is on tap for Tuesday.
