Surprise, ARIZ.- The Spirit bounce back with a victory against Life Pacific (1-12-1 Overall, 1-8-1 Conference) in the 4-1 victory. The win puts the Spirit at 6-5-3 on the year and 4-4-2 in conference play.

The Warriors started the scoring in the 8^th minute of play with a goal by Brianna Figueroa (First of the Season), assisted by Nancy Hinojosa. OUAZ responded in the 9^th minute with a goal by Krystal Sanchez (Second of the Season), unassisted. The Spirit would take the lead in the 19^th minute of action when Karissa Frerichs (Fifth on the Season), assisted by Kylie Walker. Katie Vail would add to the Spirit lead with a goal in the 34^th minute (First on the Season), assisted by JoJo Smith. The Spirit defense would shut down the Warriors for the rest of the half to go into halftime with a 3-1 lead.

The second half started with Karissa Frerichs' second goal of the game in the 49^th minute of action (Sixth of the Season), unassisted. That would end the second half scoring as the Spirit shut down the Warriors holding them to only two shots in the entire half.

The Spirit will go into next week with two crucial games against GSAC opponents, starting with a road game against The Master's (10-3 OVR, 7-2 GSAC) on Thursday, October 24^th at 1:30pm. OUAZ will then come back home for a big game against #15 Embry Riddle (8-2-3 OVR, 7-1-1 GSAC) on Saturday October 26^th at Noon. The Spirit lost both prior matchups.
