SURPRISE, ARIZ. – The OUAZ women's volleyball team earned its most dominant win in program history on Thursday night, getting three-set victory over West Coast Baptist. The Spirit held the Eagles to 18 total points over three sets, and held its opponent to under 10 points in two of the three sets.
OUAZ posted a .374 attack percentage on the night while holding the Eagles to a -.156. The Spirit had 42 kills in the match, with 18 coming in the second set and 17 in the final set.
Jessica Pearce and Brooklynn Dribnak led the match in kills, finishing with seven each while attacking over .450. Kaiden Raif directed the offense with a match-high 21 assists.
Three players finished in double-digit digs, as Tiana Fisher (15), Ka'ena Kekaualua (11) and Reegan Shoquist (11) had the most of OUAZ's 65 digs. The Spirit also had ten service aces, with Nina Peay leading the way with three.
OUAZ will get back into GSAC play on Friday when they take on Benedictine Mesa. First serve in the East Valley is set for 6 p.m.
