The OUAZ women's basketball team opened Golden State Athletic Conference action with a 93-68 loss to Jessup University in Rocklin, California on Thursday night. 
 
Angel Addleman led the Spirit (10-1, 0-1 GSAC) with 21 points and eight rebounds.  Bri Humphries added 14 points, four rebounds, and two steals. 
 
Despite the loss, this is still the best start to the season for an OUAZ women's basketball team.

The team will continue the conference-opening road trip with a game on Saturday against Menlo. The Oaks defeated Arizona Christian on Thursday by a 77-43 score.
