Surprise, Arizona - Three OUAZ Men's Volleyball players were named to the GSAC All-Conference team Tuesday morning.
Junior Emery Outin and Seniors Quaid King and Tyler Gardenhire were named to the Golden State Athletic Conference All-Conference team.
Outin, who leads the Spirit offensively in kills (206), kills per set (3.61) and total attempts (416), ranked 4th in the GSAC in Kills per Set, averaging 3.61. He was 7th in overall in the conference in kills, with his 206 total. Playing and starting in 18 of the Spirit's 19 matches, the junior was an essential part of the Spirit offense.Â
King offensively posted up right behing Outin in the Spirt stats, posting the second most kills on the squad (159). The outside hitter earned himself the 4th best hitting percentage in the GSAC, at .344 and the 11th most points, with 181.5.
Gardenhire earned himself a leading spot on the Spirit, taking home the most assists and most aces of the season. He ranked 4th in both assists (451) and assists per set (7.64) in the GSAC, having the 5th most service aces, with 22.
The GSAC Men's Volleyball Tournament will begin this weekend when OUAZ hosts, Vanguard, The Master's and Menlo for a chance at the conference title. The Spirit will take on No. 2 Masters on Friday, March 31 at 6:00 PM.
