Surprise, Ariz. - OUAZ Men's Volleyball (5-2) took down the Arizona Christian Firestorm (2-4) Wednesday evening in three sets 25-14, 25-18, 25-19. They pick up their first conference win after dropping their first GSAC matchup against Menlo.
Ottawa Arizona is now 12-0 all-time against their in-state rival ACU and will look to extend that number to 13 when the two face-off once again in March.
Quaid King and
Emery Outin led the team in kills, with King logging 13 while Outin had 12 of his own.
It was
Blake Music with the highest hit percentage on the night (.615) with an efficient nine kills in 13 attempts.
The Captain,
Tyler Gardenhire, had 33 assists in OUAZ's big win over the Firestorm.
Spirit are back in action Saturday afternoon, at home, when they take on The Master's at 1 pm MST.
