McKay Bundy tied his career-high as he scored a game-high 25 points as the Spirit defeated the Montana Western Bulldogs 89-80 on day two of the 2023 Cactus Classic in Chandler, Arizona. The Spirit (8-3) have won five of their last six games, outscoring their opponents 519-470 (+49). 
 
The Bulldogs (7-5) controlled much of the first half and took a 37-30 lead at the break, thanks in part to, OUAZ hitting just 35 percent from the floor and missing all seven from three point range.
 
OUAZ came out in the second half and took control of the game behind a 12–4 run in the first four minutes of the half. For the half, the Spirit shot 57 percent and had just one turnover.
 
Game Notes: 

• Bundy and Catchings have scored in double-figures in all 11 games they've played this year. 
• OUAZ shot 46.4 percent from the field in the win.  The team has not shot under 40 percent all season. 
• The series against the Bulldogs now favors the Spirit 2-1. 
• The Spirit will finish the Cactus Classic on Tuesday at 2:00 pm against the host University of Providence (Mont.) (6-4). 
• This will be the third time the Argos and Spirit have played and the second consecutive year at the Cactus Classic.  The series is tied with one win each (Spirit won last year 99-70
