Four players registered double figures in leading OUAZ to a narrow 83-82 victory over host University of Providence (MT) in the final game of the 2023 Cactus Classic in Chandler, Arizona.
 
Jacob Henry and Bryce Fitzgerald scored 17 points each, Jayce Catchings added 16, and Alex Villi recorded 12 in the contest for the Spirit (9-3).
 
OUAZ held a 47-35 lead at the break, but the game got close when the Argos (6-5) went on a 21-8 run over a 5:30 stretch to tie the game up at 66-all with 9:40 to play.
 
Over the next three minutes, the Spirit went on an 11-7 run led by Henry, who had five points during that timeframe to give OUAZ the 77-73 lead with five minutes to go.
 
OUAZ would score its final basket with just over four minutes to go in the game to go up 79-75.  It would turn into a free throw competition from there out as the Argos would score two layups and sink three free throws.  Whereas the Spirit would sink four of their five charity shots.
