Five Spirit players scored in double-figures as OUAZ secured a 100-94 overtime victory in the first game of the 2023 Cactus Classic hosted by the University of Providence (NAIA) at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
 
Bryce Fitzgerald led the Spirit (7-3) with 23 points and eight rebounds.  McKay Bundy added 17 points, Jayce Catchings had 16 points, and Jacob Henry chipped in 12 points and 10 assists.  Making his season debut, Alex Villi came in off the bench and contributed 15 points in the game.
 
Game Notes:

• OUAZ is now 2-1 in overtime games this season.  Last season, the Spirit only played in two overtime games, winning both.
• OUAZ scored 100 points for the second time this season (2-0).
• The team is back on the court against Montana Western (6-4) tomorrow at the Cactus Classic Saturday, Dec. 16^th.
