In the inaugural game under new head coach Bob Henige, the OUAZ Spirit women's basketball team secured a  66-57 victory on the road over the University of Saint Katherine Firebirds. 
This win continues the string of dominance over the Firebirds, as the Spirit have now triumphed in all four meetings. 
From the opening tip-off, the Spirit never wavered, maintaining the lead throughout the game. Key contributors included Tiana Sledge, who led the Spirit in scoring with 14 points and six rebounds. Brianna Humphries and Marlee Johnson both amassed 12 points and seven rebounds, and Cierra Kiser added 10 points.
