OUAZ's cross country teams traveled to Coolidge, AZ  on Saturday to compete in the George Young Invitational. It was hot October meet, but the Spirit runners were well prepared.   
 
The women's team competed at the 5k distance with Abby Theis along with Allison Maethner both finishing in the top 15 runners. Theis ran a time of 21:20 to finish eighth, while Maethner was 1:29 seconds behind, finishing in 11th.
 
In the men's 8k race, Masen Hofmenn finished with a time of 30:16.  Michael Kulek (34:53) and Christopher Johnson (39:52) also competed in the race.
 
The runners will be back in action on Oct. 20 in San Diego, California at the John Elders Titan Invite.
