RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Trailing 2-0 early in the first half, the 10th-ranked OUAZ men's soccer team came back for a 5-4 win over La Sierra on Monday morning to close the weekend road trip.

La Sierra (0-1) scored twice in less than two minutes to hold a 2-0 lead in the 14th minute. OUAZ (4-1) pulled the game level by halftime with goals from Titouan Desveaux and Jamaine Turner in the 19th and 25th minutes, respectively.

Oskar Wano gave the Spirit the lead with a goal in the 59th minute, and then Tinashe Simbo doubled the advantage to 4-2 when he scored in the 67th minute.

La Sierra continued to apply pressure and got back within 4-3 in the 74th minute, only to see Tom Cohen score an important insurance goal for the Spirit in the 87th minute. It would turn into the game-winner as the Eagles added a fourth goal in the 89th minute for the final tally.

OUAZ held an 18-8 edge in shots, with 11 of those attempts on goal. La Sierra had seven shots on goal.

Cohen led all players with five shots and three on goal.
