Desveaux Scores Late for 1-0 Win

COSTA MESA, Calif. - Titouan Desveaux scored in the closing seconds to give the 10th-ranked OUAZ men's soccer team a 1-0 win at Westcliff on Saturday night at Orange Coast College.

The goal from Desveaux was the only shot of the second half by the OUAZ (3-1) and came with just seven seconds remaining in the contest. The winner started on a great ball to a streaking Desveaux from Aleem Barclay from about 40 yards out.

After taking a 9-4 lead in shots in the halftime break, the Spirit could not find many opportunities in the final 45 minutes. In turn, Westcliff (1-2) had seven shots after halftime.

Marcos Papakostas earned the shutout in goal for the Spirit with six saves.

OUAZ closes its weekend trip to California on Monday when they face La Sierra at 10 a.m.
