2022 Women's Volleyball Notes -- Week 5

The OUAZ women's volleyball team looks to turn things around as they open a five-match homestand this weekend with two contests at Faith Arena. OUAZ welcomes The Master's on Friday at 6 p.m. before hosting Westmont on Saturday at noon.

The Spirit return home at 4-6 overall and looking to snap a four-match losing skid. They opened GSAC play with a pair of losses on the road last weekend to sit in a tie for ninth in the conference standings. OUAZ has gone 2-2 at home.

Returning home, OUAZ is averaging 11.41 kills per set while posting a .154 attack percentage. They have recorded 50-plus kills in a match three times and three times hit above .200. To go with the attack numbers, OUAZ is posting 1.34 service aces per set and twice has notched 11 aces in a match.

Defensively, OUAZ is holding its opponents to .166 hitting and an average of 12.12 kills per set. That is accomplished by posting 16.22 digs and 1.59 blocks per set.

Livia De Pra is second in the GSAC and 53rd in the NAIA, with an average of 3.34 kills per set. She has been in double figures eight times this season. De Pra is hitting .205 while adding 12 service aces and 110 digs. She has notched six double-doubles.

Logan Kuehn has tallied 241 assists and is first in the conference at 6.51 assists per set. She posted a career-high 52 assists against Doane and has two double-doubles and 11 aces.

Jessica Pearce ranks third in the GSAC with 32 total blocks for an average of 0.78 blocks per set. She has recorded at least one block in every match this season and is tied with De Pra for the team lead with 12 aces.

Kenzie Kuxhaus is third in the GSAC with 157 digs, and her 4.13 digs per set are fourth in the league. She has recorded 20-plus digs in a match five times.
