SURPRISE, Ariz. – Trailing 6-0 after the first quarter, No. 10 OUAZ scored 36 consecutive points on its way to a 39-12 win over Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) on Saturday night at Spirit Field.

OUAZ (2-0, 2-0 SAC) led 13-6 at halftime after a pair of Landon Reeves field goals and a Roman Sahagun touchdown reception from Isaiah Randalle. The game took a big swing when the SAGU (1-1, 1-1) fumbled the opening kickoff of the third quarter, and the Spirit recovered on the 3-yard line. Marcelous Chester-Riley scored on the next play for a 20-6 lead.

The ensuing SAGU possession ended on the first of two interceptions from Eric Holman. Kristopher Ewens turned the possession into points when he spun out of a tackle in the middle of the field and ran 23 yards for a score.

The Spirit added a safety two defensive possessions later when Giovanni White forced an intentional grounding penalty in the end zone. Randalle then capped the ensuing offensive possession with a 5-yard scoring run to make it 36-6 after three quarters.

After blocking its second punt of the game, SAGU scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Landon Reeves then tied the program record with his third field goal, resulting in the game's final tally.
