Season Ends with Loss in GSAC Quarterfinals

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The season for the OUAZ women's volleyball team came to an end on Thursday evening with a 3-1 loss to Life Pacific in the quarterfinals of the GSAC Women's Volleyball Tournament.

OUAZ – the tournament's No. 5 seed – ends the year at 15-13 after the 20-25, 22-25, 27-25, 22-25 loss.

Fourth-seeded Life Pacific took advantage of the Spirit in the serving game, where they totaled 14 service aces. That helped the Warriors overcome the 51-46 edge in kills by OUAZ.

Livia De Pra finished with a double-double of 16 kills and 15 digs for the Spirit. Rylie Henige added 13 kills, with seven from Gloria Moye and six from Jessica Pearce.

The Spirit held LPU to .127 hitting with 89 digs and 12 blocks. Kenzie Kuxhaus led all players with 30 digs, and Pearce had eight blocks.

Life Pacific got 11 kills from Mackenzie Grooms and nine from Hannah Caddow and Audrianna Guzman.
