2022 Women's Volleyball Notes -- Week 8

With the first half of the conference season now complete, the OUAZ women's volleyball team heads to California to begin the second half with a pair of road matches. The trip starts with the Spirit playing at Westmont on Friday and then continues on Saturday at The Master's.

The Spirit will hit the road with a 10-8 overall record after defeating Arizona Christian in four sets on Tuesday. OUAZ sits in fifth place in the GSAC standings with a 5-4 record in conference matches. They have gone 1-3 on the road to this point of the season.

OUAZ is averaging 11.90 kills per set while posting a .169 attack percentage. They have recorded 50-plus kills in a match four times and six times hit above .200. To go with the attack numbers, OUAZ is posting 1.55 service aces per set with three matches with 11-plus aces.

Defensively, OUAZ is holding its opponents to .146 hitting and an average of 11.57 kills per set. That is accomplished by posting 16.57 digs and 1.72 blocks per set.

Livia De Pra is second in the GSAC and 65th in the NAIA, averaging 3.42 kills per set. She has been in double figures 13 times this season. De Pra is hitting .205, adding 22 service aces and 199 digs with nine double-doubles. She needs 36 kills and eight digs to become the first player in program history to reach the 500-500 club.

Logan Kuehn leads the GSAC with 499 assists and at 7.92 assists per set. She posted a career-high 56 assists in the win over ACU on Tuesday. Kuehn leads the team and ranks sixth in the GSAC with 23 service aces.

Jessica Pearce ranks second in the GSAC with 64 total blocks and with 0.96 blocks per set. She has recorded at least one block in all but one match while adding 94 kills on .172 hitting.

Kenzie Kuxhaus is second in the GSAC with 265 digs while averaging 4.14 digs per set. She has recorded 20-plus digs in a match six times and been in double figures 13 times.
