2022 Women's Volleyball Notes -- Week 9

The OUAZ women's volleyball team returns to Faith Arena for a pair of GSAC matches this weekend. OUAZ starts by hosting Hope International on Friday at 6 p.m. They then welcome Life Pacific to Surprise on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Spirit return home with an 11-9 overall record, having alternated wins and losses in the past five outings. They sit fourth in the GSAC standings with a 6-5 record in conference play. The top six teams in the final conference standings will qualify for the conference tournament on November 10-12 at Faith Arena.

OUAZ starts the week averaging 11.64 kills per set with a .164 attack percentage. They have recorded more kills than the opponent in eight matches and finished with a higher attack percentage 12 times. The Spirit also averages 1.54 service aces per set.

The Spirit opposition is averaging 11.45 kills per set and being held to a .164 attack percentage. OUAZ accomplishes this by averaging 16.53 digs per set – third in the GSAC – and 1.78 blocks per set.

Livia De Pra is second in the GSAC and 67th in the NAIA, averaging 3.29 kills per set. She has been in double figures 15 times this season. De Pra is hitting .188, adding 24 service aces and 227 digs with 12 double-doubles. She needs 15 kills to become the first player in program history to reach the 500-500 club.

Logan Kuehn leads the GSAC with 559 assists and 7.76 assists per set. She posted a career-high 56 assists in the win over ACU. Kuehn also leads the team and ranks seventh in the GSAC with 28 service aces.

Jessica Pearce ranks second in the GSAC with 73 total blocks and 0.96 per set. She has recorded at least one block in all but one match while adding 111 kills on .173 hitting.

Kenzie Kuxhaus is second in the GSAC with 306 digs while averaging 4.19 digs per set. She has recorded 20-plus digs in a match seven times and been in double figures 15 times.
