Spirit Fall in First of Two with LMU

TEMPE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's water polo team opened its two-game weekend series against No. 17 Loyola Marymount by falling to the Lions 15-6 at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

Loyola Marymount scored the first nine goals of the game. OUAZ scored once in the third and five times in the fourth quarter.

Kylee Wesemann led the Spirit with three goals while adding one assist. Cierra Crouch, Tori Higginson, and Jasmine Miller had the other OUAZ goals.

The two teams will play again on Sunday at noon.
