OUAZ Loses Twice on the First Day of USCB Winter Invite

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Playing a game for the first time in 704 days, the OUAZ women's water polo team opened its 2022 season under first-year head coach Logan Powell with a pair of losses at the UCSB Winter Invite on Friday. OUAZ opened its season with a 19-7 loss against UC Santa Barbara and then dropped a 22-7 decision to Azusa Pacific.

Cierra Crouch scored the first goal of the season for the Spirit (0-2) in the loss to UCSB. OUAZ saw seven different players score in the game, with Kylee Crofcheck posting a goal and two assists. Kelly Rowan made eight saves for the Spirit.

Tori Higginson scored three goals against Azusa Pacific to lead OUAZ.

The Spirit will play another two games on Saturday, starting against Brown at 11:30 a.m. (AZ) before facing UCLA at 6 p.m. (AZ).
