Spirit Offense Shines Again in Win Over The Master's

SURPRISE, ARIZ. - The Master's had not scored a goal all season before Thursday afternoon, and netted its first one seven minutes into the contest at Spirit Field. OUAZ did not fold, scoring three straight goals to secure its second GSAC victory of the season 3-1 over the Mustangs.

Aidan Rhode ended The Master's lengthy goalless streak at the 6:15 mark, and the Mustangs held the lead for a good chunk of the first half. Misael Moreno pulled the Spirit even with his second of the season in the 29', and Samuel George scored a penalty kick goal for the second straight game in the 37'.

Ramsin Larios added an insurance marker in the 61', his first collegiate goal in 53 games played with the Spirit. Miguel Acosta and Kebba Jobe also dished out an assist each during the afternoon.

As the game went on, so did the tension and physical play. Nine of the game's 15 fouls came in the second half, and two yellow cards were handed out to the Mustangs.

Each team also took a combined 32 shots, but only 11 were on target. OUAZ goalkeeper Seba Ferreira made four saves for his third consecutive multi-stop game of the year.

The Spirit will take the weekend to prepare for rival Arizona Christian next Tuesday. Kickoff from North Glendale is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Arizona time.
