SERIES NOTES
OUAZ and Arizona Christian are familiar foes having played 25 times. The Spirit are 9-16 in those meetings and 2-11 at home with a 2-1 mark in Surprise Stadium. This season, ACU has won four of the seven matchups, but OUAZ took three of four from the Firestorm last weekend in conference action.

AT THE PLATE
OUAZ has been on a tear at the plate over the last 10 games and raised its season batting average to .308. That has the Spirit 46th in the NAIA and they place 28th nationally by averaging 10.07 hits per game. OUAZ has recorded at least 10 hits in a game 16 times this season with seven of those coming in the past 10 games.

All of those hits have translated to runs as the team is now scoring 8.32 runs per game. They have been in double figures in runs nine times this season and five times in the last 10 games. The Spirit ranks 24th in the country with 24 doubles and 19th with 10 triples.

Adrian Salazar leads the team this season with 42 hits and his .347 batting average is third on the team among qualifiers. He also has a team-leading 24 runs batted in while posting 10 doubles. Salazar is riding a 10-game hitting streak – his third career hitting streak of 10-plus games – during which he has gone 17 of 44 (.386).

Salazar is the OUAZ all-time leader with 186 hits and 91 RBIs.

Jordan Hollins has been on a tear since conference play began, going 16 of 29 (.552) with 10 runs scored, seven doubles, two triples, and nine RBI in those eight games. The streak raised his season batting average by over 100 points to .353 and fives him 10 doubles and 15 RBI for the season.

Jared Crockett hasn't played enough games to qualify for the conference rankings, but he leads the Spirit with a .397 batting average while recording 31 hits.

ON THE MOUND
OUAZ has found a formula that works on the mound if late and currently maintains a 5.04 ERA and 1.47 WHIP as a staff. They are second in the GSAC in ERA and third with an opponents batting average of .266.

Gage Johnson has been stellar on the hill this season with a perfect 6-0 record and a GSAC-leading 1.97 ERA which ranks 33rd in the NAIA. His six straight decisions won is a program record and he is tied for the team lead with three complete games. Johnson is one won why of tying the program record for wins in a season.

Anthony Quattrocchi has been just as dominant for the Spirit with a 5-1 record and 2.56 ERA. He has won his last five decisions with three complete games. Quattrocchi leads the GSAC with 58 strikeouts.
