The 11th-ranked OUAZ men's volleyball team returns to action this week as they open Golden State Athletic Conference play with a pair of matches. The Spirit start with a trip across town to face Arizona Christian on Thursday at 6 p.m. They will then welcome The Master's to Faith Arena on Saturday at noon.
 
SPECTATOR POLICY
Due to the ordinance by the City of Surprise limiting public gatherings to less than 50 people, fans will not be allowed to attend Saturday's match at Faith Arena.
 
Fans are not allowed at the ACU match per YMCA and ACU policies.
 
HOW TO FOLLOW
Both home matches will be broadcast live on the OUAZ Digital Network. Fans can view the game online at OUAZSpirit.com/digital or on the NAIA Network app on Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku devices.
 
Thursday's match will be produced by Arizona Christian University.

ABOUT THE SPIRIT
OUAZ will return to play with a 4-3 overall record and winners of two straight. They are 0-1 in road matches this season and Saturday will be the team's home opener.
 
The Spirit were 6-4 and in fourth place in the GSAC standings when the season was called off last year. They were picked by the league's coaches as the favorite to win the East Division of this year's conference makeup.
 
Through matches played on Tuesday, OUAZ ranks 15th in the NAIA by averaging 11.30 kills per set and they are 11th with their .277 hitting percentage.  The Spirit are also 30th nationally with an average of 8.52 digs per set and 31st by posting 1.15 service aces per set.
 
SPIRIT LEADERS
Jordan Moses leads the team with 82 kills and he ranks 30th in the NAIA by getting 3.04 kills per set. His 82 total kills are 21st-most in the country.
 
Blake Music is 19th in the country with his .359 hitting percentage. Quaid King hits .324 to rank 35th.
 
Andrew de'Leon has a team-high 166 assists to place him 36th in the NAIA at 6.38 assists per set. He is also the team leader wit 50 digs.
 
Tatum Gray is leading the Spirit with eight service aces and his 0.38 aces per set place him 41st in the country.
 
Conner Duyck has a team-best 19 total blocks – including seven solo blocks – with his 0.76 blocks per set placing 38th in the NAIA. At 0.86 blocks per set, Music is 28th in the national rankings.
 
SERIES NOTES
OUAZ is 5-0 all-time against Arizona Christian with three sweeps. They are 4-0 against the Firestorm in GSAC matches. The Spirit have won both matches played at ACU.
 
The Spirit hold an 1-0 all-time record against The Master's after picking up a 3-0 sweep in Santa Clarita last season.
