Box Score PHOENIX – The OUAZ women's volleyball team got back into the win column on Monday evening with a 3-0 sweep of SAGU American Indian College on Monday night to complete a season sweep of the crosstown rival.
 
OUAZ (3-9) defeated the Warriors for the 11th time in as many meetings with a 25-10, 25-16, 25-8 decision.
 
Gabrielle Fugle led the Spirit with nine kills in the victory while Kristi Mertins added eight kills. OUAZ also got six kills from Izze Gibbs in the win.
 
As a team, the Spirit totaled 36 kills on .382 hitting. They recorded 18 service aces and posted 29 digs.
 
Gibbs had a team-high four aces and Star Hoskie led the way with eight digs.
 
OUAZ will return to action on Wednesday when they head to Ironwood High School to face Arizona Christian in Golden State Athletic Conference action.
